Solar Incentives for Homes
Through the California Solar Initiative, home owners in Southern California are in Step 3 and receive a rebate of up to $2.20 per watt, approximately 20% of system cost (April 2009). These rebates are phasing out in 10 steps, with the change to step 4, with its reduced rebates, due sometime in June 2009. Northern California is already in Step 5. Fortunately, because of an unusually good supply of solar panels, the price has never been better to go solar than right now.
